PRODUCTS

Permaplas Corporation produces a wide variety of standard and custom porous plastic components that are used for filtering, wicking, venting, sparging, or supporting.

Medical Components

More so than in other industries, medical device manufacturing requires a closely coordinated supply chain and a high degree of transparency.  Permaplas has a track record of working closely with its medical device clients to  achieve their goals. Permaplas always allows quality audits and site visits, which are fundamental to the quality assurance process. Our quality management system is designed to comply with ISO13485.

Where required, we offer Class 8 Clean Room facilities for producing medical device components.

Industrial Components

By far, the largest porous plastic market segment is industrial applications. Porous plastic is a favorite material for water treatment systems. Compressed air systems use porous plastic as filter elements to clean air for down stream uses. Porous plastic is a low cost alternative to sintered ceramics and sintered metal.

Tubular Products

Permaplas produces a  wide variety of tubes. Tubes are molded to shape or are formed by seaming sheet material. Tubes can be made with a very thin wall or a very thick wall.  Tubes can be sized to match schedule 40 PVC pipe fittings.

Porous plastic tubes are widely used for potable water filters, fish farming systems, and cross-flow filtration.

Sheets and Plates

Permaplas produces sheet in a roll, up to a maximum of 1,500 feet long. The sheet can be as thin as 0.010 inch and as thick as 0.125 inch. The pore size can range from 10 microns to 200 microns.

Our plate material is thick, rigid, and strong. It is often used to provide structural support while allowing a liquid or gas to pass through.

Sheets and Plates

Yes, we can create porous plastic sheets and plates. Our sheet product can be as thin as 0.010 inches (0.25 mm) and as thick as 0.125 inches (3.2 mm). Our sheet material comes in a maximum width of 20 inches. We can slit the material to smaller widths if desired. Sheet material is sold in flat sheets or a continuous roll up to 300 feet. Longer rolls can be accomplished by splicing the material.

Porous plastic plates start at a thickness greater than 0.125 inches thick and can be produced at any thickness up to 1 inch. Maximum plate size is 2 feet by 2 feet.
